Day 10 - Navarrete to Azofra

Positivity. My brother gave a Portuguese pilgrim some tapes to help him deal with the blisters. That is positive. Yesterday many in the room tried to help an Italian pilgrim with blisters. Although not all the attention is wanted but I am sure the offer to help was appreciated. That is positive. There is no shortage of positive things happening on the Camino.

Another cool and wet day. Temperature in single digit in the morning and drizzling all day.  Finally there is sunshine after we arrive. Finally, there are a few hours to wash and dry our clothes. Otherwise, it is going to be ugly, and smelly.

It is amazing how cheerful some of the hospitaleros are. It has to be a tough job to deal with all kinds of people who speak all kinds of languages other than their own. Yesterday in Navarrete, the hospitalero gave a light-hearted lecture to each small group of pilgrims that can fill the front hall on the albergue rules. The beds, sheets, laundry, kitchen, quitting time, exit time, etc. When we tried to hand him 4 passports. He said 'I am a man, I can only deal with one at a time'. Funny. Today in Azofra, the hospitalera can only speak Spanish but she dealt with all comers in Spanish whether they understand or not. We were befuddled when she took 10€ from us while making change to the pilgrim before us. When it was our turn, she said one of us is free. She definitely know what she is doing. She seems to have a fun time with our names and our relationship. Don't know why but it is so funny. These are mostly volunteers. So glad that they can enjoy what they are doing.

Should have checked the previous blog. We found out that the supermercado really does not have enough material for dinner so we ended up at the restaurant having pilgrims menu anyway.
